In a time when many young people feel unheard, one voice from Jalingo rises, not with noise, but with depth, reflection, and purpose. That voice belongs to Faisal Sale Muri, a gifted spoken-word poet and founder of the inspirational platform Deep Thought Hours, a name now echoing far beyond the walls of Northeastern States.

With a soft voice but a powerful message, Faisal has become one of the most respected emerging poets in Northern Nigeria, using his words to touch hearts, open minds, and awaken a generation.

A VOICE FROM THE HEART OF MURI

Born and raised in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State and the historic seat of the Muri Emirate, Faisal’s poetry is deeply rooted in identity, community, and truth. His verses often speak of self-discovery, faith, social realities, and hope, a powerful combination that resonates across borders, languages, and beliefs.

What makes Faisal different isn’t just what he says, but how he says it.

He doesn’t shout. He reflects.

He doesn’t judge. He understands.

And above all, he doesn’t pretend. He feels, and helps others feel too.

His performances, often recorded and shared under Deep Thought Hours, have gained thousands of views online. Whether he’s speaking on radio, appearing in local poetry festivals, or releasing a simple video on Social Media, his audience continues to grow. What he delivers isn’t just entertainment, it is truth in poetry.

DEEP THOUGHT HOURS: More Than a Brand

What began as a personal outlet has become a growing movement. Deep Thought Hours is now a creative space where words are not just written but lived. Faisal uses the platform to deliver raw, real, and relatable content that inspires youths to think beyond today, and to believe in tomorrow.

His Ramadan poem, “Azumin ne Abin Wasa?”, stunned listeners with its poetic call to sincerity. Another video, “Sunana Faisal Sale Muri”, became his signature piece, boldly affirming identity and pride in a world that too often silences both.

For Faisal, poetry is not just art, it is purpose.

INSPIRING A NEW GENERATION

In an era where so many struggle with direction, Faisal is showing young Northerners that intelligence, integrity, and inspiration are not outdated, they are powerful.

He stands as proof that you don't need to leave your community to make an impact. From Jalingo, he speaks to Arewa. From Taraba, he speaks to Nigeria. From his own experiences, he speaks to the world.

His humility, mixed with confidence.

His words, wrapped in wisdom.

His presence, rooted in peace.

These are not just qualities of a poet, they are marks of a leader in the making.

A FUTURE BRIGHT WITH PURPOSE

Faisal’s journey is still unfolding, but it is clear that greatness is not a distant dream for him, it is a living reality. With the right support, he could publish poetry collections, host national spoken-word tours, or even launch a youth poetry academy right in Taraba.

His success reminds us to celebrate talent at home, support our storytellers, and invest in those who dare to express truth through art.

As Faisal once said in one of his poems:

"Words are not weapons, they are wings. And with them, I will fly."

And truly, he is soaring.

Faisal Sale Muri is not just a poet. He is a movement. A mirror. A light.

And as the sun rises over Jalingo, so does his voice, reaching hearts, one deep thought at a time.
