Among such shining lights of this generation is Sheikh Dr. Ibrahim Jalo Jalingo, a name that today resonates not only in Jalingo and Taraba State but across Nigeria and the wider Islamic world. A Life Rooted in Knowledge and Faith

Born in Muri, Taraba State, in 1960, Dr. Jalo grew up with a deep thirst for knowledge. From his early days memorizing the Qur’an and studying classical Islamic texts, he showed exceptional brilliance. His journey took him beyond the borders of Nigeria, as he pursued higher Islamic education at the prestigious Islamic University of Madinah. The resolution came at the end of its 12th meeting held in Jalingo, Taraba State, on August 29-30, 2025. The Forum, which comprises the Governors of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba, and Yobe States, said it remained focused on strengthening cooperation in matters relating to security, social development, and economic integration of the subregion.
