Nigeria at 65: Reflecting on Our Journey, Embracing the Future

October 1, 2025

Today, as Nigeria marks 65 years of independence, we at Hammajo World join the nation in celebrating a story that continues to unfold, a story defined by resilience, unity, diversity, and the unyielding spirit of a people determined to shape their destiny.

Our independence is more than a date on the calendar; it is a living testament to the courage and vision of those who dreamed of a free and sovereign nation. It is a reminder of how far we have come, from the struggles that birthed our nation to the milestones that continue to shape our identity. Across every region, every culture, and every generation, Nigerians have shown strength in adversity and creativity in the face of challenges.

At Hammajo World, we believe that every anniversary is not only a time to celebrate but also a time to reflect and recommit. As storytellers and chroniclers of our people’s journey, we remain dedicated to capturing the narratives that define us, the triumphs and the trials, the voices that inspire change, and the stories that build bridges of understanding.

On this day, let us renew our shared commitment to building a nation where justice, peace, and opportunity thrive. Let us honour the sacrifices of those who came before us by shaping a future worthy of their legacy.

Let us celebrate 65 years of independence and remain steadfast in building a brighter, stronger Nigeria. Happy Independence Day, Nigeria.
